While it is often debated, we hold firm that barrels influence roughly 80% of the final flavor of a whiskey.
The notes and character created from contact with oak are what shape the whiskeys we love and enjoy.
Instead of finishing our whiskey inside of barrels, we explored what happens when you do the exact opposite. We finish our whiskey with broken barrel staves. We put wood into our whiskey – and the results were unbelievable.

Our founder and ‘Chief Barrel Breaker’ was born and raised in California. His passion for great bourbon coupled with his access to freshly dumped Central Coast Cabernet casks combined for a truly unique bourbon.

Break from traditional Rye with our Heresy Rye Whiskey – bottled at 105 proof for a bigger bolder flavor profile. Finished again with broken Ex-Bourbon, Sherry and French oak barrel staves.

The Reserve Oak Series is a limited edition line of straight bourbon whiskeys that display the true power of our Oak Bill. Each edition highlights the very concept of how the oak staves of each broken barrel type can radically change the final whiskey you taste and enjoy.
RESERVE OAK SERIES STRAIGHT BOURBON
There are four current offerings in the Reserve Oak Series, each using the same Kentucky Straight Bourbon, each with very different Oak Bills. The Oak Bills available in 2021-22 include a Peach Brandy & French Oak, a Rum & Rye cask finish, a Stout Beer & Ex-Bourbon cask finish, and a Port and French Oak finish.
